Brooks' first set of wheels.

We started putting the finishing touches on Brooks' room today. Since we didn't know if we were having a boy or girl, gender specific touches had to wait. Dad made Brooks this car decoration as the first step to making the room suitable for a boy.

Brooks has been busy.

A couple of nights work for little Brooks. He's a machine!

Brooks meets the family.

Brooks has met a lot of new people in his first week.

Aunt Corrina and Cousin Giselle

Aunt Julie

Grandma Akers

Gi-Gi and Paw-Paw Bergeron

How do you spell relief?

A few bags of frozen vegetables were just what the doctor ordered for mom's engorged milk factories.

He's a cutie!

Brooks after his first bath in the hospital. He's adorable!

Going Home

After three days in the hospital, we took Brooks home on 9/24. Despite extreme sleep deprivation, we made the journey without incident.

It's a boy!

Brooks arrived on September 22 @ 4:15 PM. He was 8 lbs 8 ozs and 21.5 inches long.

The Last Supper

Since Brooks had set up camp with no plans to come out and greet the world my doctor scheduled an induction at over 41 weeks. Jeff and I took the opportunity to go out for a romantic dinner at the Hula Hut. No sitter required.
I was trying to eat spicy food and was walking at least 3 miles a day trying to bring on labor by itself but no such luck. We had fun trying though.
